Sabine Almstrom CPDT-KA, CNWI™ is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge-Assessed (certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, CCPDT) and Certified Nose Work Instructor (certification through the National Association of Canine Scent Work, NACSW) in Duncan, British Columbia and previously in Whitehorse, Yukon. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (CAPPDT). As a positive reinforcement dog trainer and canine behaviour consultant she is available for all dog training needs in Duncan, BC and nearby communities, including Chemainus, Cowichan Bay, Shawnigan Lake, Ladysmith, Nanaimo etc.

Sabine’s goal is to foster better communication between humans and their dogs in all their interactions. Understanding the needs and body language of our canine companions is a crucial skill for building trust-based bonding.

Sabine is a firm believer in the power of positive reinforcement dog training which she puts it into action in every aspect of her daily dealings with dogs - from rambunctious young puppies in her puppy classes to dogs with serious behavioural issues.

In both her dog training classes and private consultations she is proving consistently that all dog behaviour problems can be addressed and remediated through positive reinforcement techniques. Obvious exceptions are canine behaviour issues caused by underlying medical conditions.
